Air Blossom is an air laundry drying rack that can maintain fragrance to prevent clothes from smelling during laundry drying. When not in use, it can serve as a decorative display object, further enhancing the value of the product. Air Blossom not only provides fragrance but also beautifies the space.

Air Blossom은 세탁 의류 건조시 의류에서 냄새가 나지 않도록 향기를 유지하며 건조할 수 있는 에어 세탁 건조대입니다. 사용하지 않을 때에는 디스플레이 오브제의 역할을 하여 제품의 가치를 더욱 높여 줄 수 있습니다.

Air Blossom은 향기 뿐만 아니라 공간 또한 아름답게 만들어 줍니다.

Background

좁은 집안에서 꿉꿉한 냄새의 세탁물을 어떻게 해결할 수 있을까?

For individuals living alone, in small households, adequate air circulation during laundry drying can be challenging. Consequently, after drying, clothes may develop a musty odor due to insufficient airflow. Therefore, I propose an air drying rack that eliminates the musty smell by combining the drying process with a fragrant scent when drying clothes.

1인 가구에서는 세탁물 건조시 좁은 집안에서 공기 순환이 원활하게 되지 않아 건조가 끝나고 나면 의류에서 꿉꿉한 냄새가 나기 쉽습니다. 그리하여 세탁물을 건조 할 때 의류와 향기로운 향이 만난다면 더 이상 꿉꿉한 냄새가 나지 않는 에어 건조대를 제안합니다.

Ideation

향기와 건조대의 결합

In single-person households, where the interior space is often limited, proper air circulation is not always achieved, leading to musty odors in laundry. To address this issue, we aimed to design an air drying rack that incorporates both drying functionality and fragrance. Additionally, considering that users often leave the drying rack in a corner or as is when not in use, we combined it with the role of an objet d'art to enhance its value even when not in use.

1인 가구는 집의 내부가 넓지 않아 공기 순환이 원활하지 않기 때문에 세탁물에서 꿉꿉한 냄새가 납니다.

이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 건조대와 향기를 결합한 에어 건조대를 디자인하고자 하였습니다.

또한, 사용자가 사용하지 않을 때에는 건조대를 구석에 두거나 그대로 두는 경우가 대부분인데 오브제의 역할을 한다면 사용하지 않을 때에도 제품의 가치를 높여줄 수 있어 에어 건조대와 오브제를 결합하였습니다.

Concept

디스플레이형 에어 건조대

Air Blossom, which combines an air drying rack with objet d'art, allows for a clear distinction between the rotating display hanging part and the support base part. In both cases, when in use and when not, users can appreciate the value of the product, making it suitable for single-person households.

에어 건조대와 오브제가 결합된 AirBlossom은 디스플레이형 걸이 파트의 회전과 지지대 파트의 회전으로 둘의 경계를 구분할 수 있습니다. 사용할 때와 사용하지 않을 때 두 가지 경우 모두 제품의 가치를 느낄 수 있어 1인 가구에게 적합한 제품을 디자인 하였습니다.

840 X 1180 X 45(mm)로 A0 액자 사이즈를 참고하여 에어 건조대를 사용하지 않을 때의 쓰임새인 디스플레이형 오브제를 제안했습니다.

Challenge

좁은 공간에서도 세탁물에서 향기가 날 수 있다면

How about proposing a solution that combines a drying rack with fragrance to address the issue of musty odors in the laundry of single-person households, where interior spaces are often compact, leading to poor air circulation? Additionally, by transforming the drying rack into an objet d'art when not in use, either by placing it in a corner or leaving it as is, it could enhance the product's value even when not actively used.

1인 가구는 집의 내부가 넓지 않아 공기 순환이 원활하지 않기 때문에 세탁물에서 꿉꿉한 냄새가 납니다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 건조대와 향기를 결합하는 방식을 제안하는 건 어떨까요?

Solution

향기 필터와 건조대의 새로운 결합 방식 제안

By swapping out the filter with the user's preferred scent, the fragrance is emitted from the drying rack and infused into the laundry. This method enhances the convenience and effectiveness of the product, potentially positioning it as a competitive offering in the market.

사용자가 원하는 향기의 필터를 교체하여 건조대에서 향기가 뿜어져 나와 세탁물에 향기가 입혀지게 됩니다. 이러한 방식은 제품의 사용성과 효율성을 높여주며, 시장에서 경쟁력 있는 제품으로 자리매김할 수 있는 잠재력을 가지고 있습니다.

Scent filter_ 사용자가 원하는 향기 필터로 쉽게 교체할 수 있습니다.

Air outlet_ 교체한 필터에서 에어 아울렛으로 향기가 뿜어져 나와 세탁물에 향기가 입혀집니다.

When not in use for drying laundry, the display can serve as part of the interior decor with fitting photos that complement the ambiance of the home. Then, when it's time to dry laundry, the display shuts off and functions as a rack.

세탁물을 건조하지 않을 때에는 디스플레이에서 집안의 분위기와 어울리는 사진으로 인테리어 효과를 누릴 수 있습니다.

그 후, 세탁물을 건조할 시 디스플레이가 종료되어 랙의 역할을 하게 됩니다.
